What we are all about
We have defined a modern educational vision to keep pace with an advanced technical environment.
Discussions began in 2002 when the Oxford Manufacturers [Skills Development] group approached
Fanshawe
College
and the Thames Valley District School Board with an idea for a training center to
help students, potential employees, and present employees gain and maintain the skills required
by today's industrial work force.
Oxford County, like most areas, is facing a shortage of skilled workers and this is affecting the
chances of attracting new industries to the area. The idea has grown into an alliance of industry,
local and federal governments, local and
community college, and the local school board and has
resulted in the formation of the "Oxford Technical Training Center" located in College Avenue
Secondary School, Woodstock, Ontario, Canada.
